Basionym:— Canthium homolleanum Cavaco (1972: 226) .

Type :— MADAGASCAR. “Est, Masoala, bois, alt. 300 m ”, 1912, H. Perrier de la Bâthie 3648 (lectotype, P, barcode P00966751 , designated here; isolectotype, P, barcode P00966752 ) .

Note:— Two specimens of Perrier de la Bâthie 3648 are present at P, and the one with barcode P00966751 is here selected as a lectotype because it has three fertile branches.
