In the API 20NE strip, nitrate reduction, glucose fermentation, esculin hydrolysis and β -galactosidase activity and assimilation of D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, N -acetyl-glucosamine and D-maltose are positive, but indole production, arginine dihydrolase, urease and gelatinase activities and assimilation of Dmannitol, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid are negative. Strain WS101 (= NIBRBA0000113915) has been isolated from a fresh water sample, Woopo wetland, Changnyeong, Korea.
