– Reported from sGuianas in several contributions (see checklist under Parapenaeus politus ). Parapenaeus politus (WA) and P. longirostris (EA) are two sibling species, distributed on each side of the Atlantic ( Pérez Farfante 1982). All sGuianas records of P. longirostris have been considered as P. politus .
