Type species: Francosuchus broilii Kuhn, 1933 .

Comments: Because the genotype specimen is lost (see below) and no casts are known, and the original description and figures (see Fig. 2A, B, D ) of ‘ Francosuchus broilii ’ do not allow it to be distinguished from Paleorhinus or Parasuchus , we here consider ‘ Francosuchus broilii ’ and ‘ Francosuchus ’ to be nomina dubia (see below).
