Thorius longicaudus Parra-Olea et al., 2016 View in CoL . This small salamander species was described as new from pine-oak forest at elevations of 2,100 to 2,200 m in the vicinity of Sola de Vega and San Vicente Lachixio (separated by about 40 airline km) on one of the northernmost ridges of the Sierra Madre del Sur.
Thorius pinicola Parra-Olea et al., 2016 View in CoL . This new salamander species was described from montane pine forest at elevations of 2,490 to 2,700 m in the vicinity of San Miguel Suchixtepec, Sierra de Miahuatlán, Carretera la Venta-Cerro Neveria, in the Sierra Madre del Sur.
Thorius tlaxiacus Parra-Olea et al., 2016 View in CoL . This new salamander species was described from elevations of 2,665 to 3,080 m in pine-oak forest in two geographic areas in the vicinity of Tlaxiaco and San Vicente Lachixio (separated by about 80 airline km) in the Sierra Madre del Sur physiographic region.
