Habitats: coastal forests (Douglas fir, Big-leaf maple, Western redcedar, hemlock, mixed maple and alder litter); fern litter; mixedwood boreal forests (pine, Red pine, lodgepole, spruce, Yellow birch, maple, beech, basswood, alder, litter); bear dung; moss; tamarack litter with Rhododendron , Vaccinium ; lichens.

Distribution: Nearctic.
