Type species: Microsalomona cornuta Karny, 1912 Below we describe two new species of this previously monotypic genus. We found these insects to be associated primarily with Pandanus spp. in mid- to high elevation humid forests. These insects appear to be predaceous, and M. brachyptera was observed catching and feeding on other katydids ( Spinisternum sp.)
