Material examined. BRAZIL: Pará: 1ɗ, Belém, Utinga, IPEAM, 01º26'S 48º28'W, 17–31.X.1986, N. Degallier coll. ( MPEG 3362); 1ɗ, Novo Progresso, Campo de Provas Brigadeiro Velloso, Serra do Cachimbo, 09º16'49''S 54º56'32''W, 07–17.IX.2003, A.B. Bonaldo et al. coll., pitfall traps ( MPEG 11534), 1ɗ, same data ( MPEG 11535).
Remarks. All the specimens listed above have the ventral face of coxae I covered with cuspule-like spines, as described for Architis tenuis and Architis cymatilis Simon, 1898 ( Santos 2007a; fig. 4E). These spines were not observed in the holotype of A. maturaca ( Santos 2007a) , the only male specimen known so far, probably because they were accidentally removed during collection or subsequent handling. The presence of cuspule-like spines on venter of coxae I, as well as the prolaterally notched ventral tibial apophysis ( Santos 2007a; fig. 5B) suggest A. maturaca to be close to the clade A. tenuis + A. cymatilis (see Santos 2007b).
