Type data: This species was described based on a single male specimen collected by Heinrich Konrad Karl (18651917) in Paraguay. The holotype is currently housed at AMNH and it has the following data label: Paraguay Villa Rica 1900 Burgdorf [printed]\ C. fusciventris v. atriceps Fr. ♂ [handwritten] 1910 Friese det [printed]\ Am. Mus. Nat. Hist. Dept. Invert. Zool. Type locality: Paraguay: Guairá department: Villarrica (“Villa Rica”) .
Comment: The holotype of C. fusciventris atriceps has the clypeus and labrum with blackish coloration, which differs in most males of C. mocsaryi . However, this character is variable.
