Distribution: Java and Bali.
Discussion: Formerly included in C. fuliginosa (see Jenkins, 1982). Revised by Ruedi (1995), who considered brunnea and pudjonica as distinct subspecies. Bali records by Kitchener et al. (1994 a). Karyotype has 2n = 38, FN = 56 ( Ruedi and Vogel, 1995).
