Type Locality: Ecuador, Napo Prov., valley of Río Papallacta, about 3-5 km (by trail) NNW Papallacta, 11,100 ft (3384 m).
Vernacular Names: Ucucha Thomasomys.
Distribution: Crest of Cordillera Oriental, 3350-3700 m, NC Ecuador (Napo and Pichincha Provs.).
Discussion: A medium-sized species with procumbent incisors contrasted principally with T. hylophilus ( Voss, 2003) .
