Holotype: Slide 6022/16e, Collection 28 (figured by Keller, 1960: pl. 4, figs 1-2, text-fig. 1) [Lomonosov Moscow State University, Department of Palaeontology].
Locus typicus: Kyzylzhal mountains, Eastern Kazakhstanian region, Kazakhstan, Middle Asia.
Stratum typicum: Lower Carboniferous (Tournaisian).
Diagnosis: see Keller, 1960: 91.
Etymology: named after Nikolaj Grigor’jevich Kassin [Николай Григорьевич Кассин] [1885-1949], eminent Russian (Soviet) geologist.
Stratigraphic distribution: Lower Carboniferous (Tournaisian).
Palaeogeographic distribution: Kazakhstania.
