Habitat records. Grotto ( Loksa 1971).
Distribution. Jawa, Vietnam, Afghanistan [? see below] ( Attems 1929; Bonato et al. 2016).
Remarks. Material is in SMF.
Bonato & Minelli (2004) assigned specimens of M. cephalotes from Himalayas ( Silvestri 1919) to M. silvestrii Bonato & Minelli, 2004 . Nevertheless, they also assumed M. cephalotes can be presented in highlands of W Himalayas as reported by Loksa (1971). Later Bonato et al. (2016) suggested records of M. cephalotes from Western Himalayas and Hindukush are possibly based on misidentification.
