Remarks. First record from Saudi Arabia found in this study is by Amoudi (1993) under the name Sarcophaga lasiostyla Macquart , which relates to an erroneous interpretation of this nominal taxon stemming from Séguy (1941) and Pape (1987), as explained by Pape (1996: 52).
