Type locality.
Chile. Provincia de Llanquihue. Región de Los Lagos. Maullín.
Taxonomic notes.
The type material, belonging to the MNRJ, is lost (for the same reason as S. allermayeri ). The original description is poor for modern standards, and both description and figure are based on a female. The females of the different Sadocus species are very similar and difficult to identify unequivocally. According to the original description, S. nigronotatus resembles S. polyacanthus in the presence of a spiniform apophysis on the lateral margin of the dorsal scutum, but can be distinguished by the presence of scutal area IV.
