Species and subspecies: 1 species:
Species Allactodipus bobrinskii Kolesnikov 1937
Discussion: Reviewed by Shenbrot (1974, 1984), who showed that in postcranial and dental characters, particularly the height of the molars and alveolar pattern, A. bobrinskii falls outside the range of variation of species in the genus Allactaga where it was placed after Kolesnikov’s description. He restored bobrinskii to Allactodipus , which is recognized by Pavlinov and Rossolimo (1987, 1998), Pavlinov et al. (1995), Shenbrot et al. (1995), and Zazhigin and Lopatin (2000 a, b). A careful phylogenetic study incorporating the traits used by Shenbrot, along with additional morphological differences, between A. bobrinskii and other allactagines and dipodines that also includes gene sequences would be welcome.
