Type species — Probatiomimus schwarzeri Melzer, 1926 View in CoL (monotypy).
Diagnosis. Scape expanded at apical third; sides of the prothorax parallel from anterolateral angles to apex of tubercles; elytra elongate, more than three times the humeral width. Number of species currently included: 5.
Remarks. Probatiomimus can be included in the alternative of couplet “45” from Monné et al. (2020):
