Type species — Tropanisopodus andinus Tippmann, 1960 (original designation).

Diagnosis. Body flattened; lateral tubercle of the prothorax wide, truncate or bifid at apex; elytra without centrobasal crest, with lateral carinae; metafemora thickened at apical third. Number of species currently included: 3.
