Type species — Colobeutrypanus ornatus Tippmann, 1953 (original designation).

Diagnosis. Scape slightly curved and dilated at apical third; prothorax troncoconical-shaped, without projections; elytra without centrobasal crest or carinae, with marginal apex projected in acute spine, and an obtuse projection at sutural angle. Number of species currently included: 2.
