Type locality.
Italy: Etrusca.
Distribution.
Slovakia, Hungary, south Europe, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Iraq, Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan ( Mazur 2011). Newly reported from Lebanon (Badghan; Fig. 83 View Figure 83 ).
Biology.
Found chiefly on cadavers, less commonly also in dung or human faeces ( Kryzhanovskij and Reichardt 1976). In our samples a single specimen was collected.
