Type Locality: Madagascar, 11 km WSW of Befingitra, Réserve Spéciale d’Anjanaharibe-Sud, 14°44’S, 49°26’E, 1550 m. GoogleMaps
Vernacular Names: Montane Shrew Tenrec.
Distribution: Northern highlands of N Madagascar.
Discussion: Recorded to date only at high altitudes in the mountains surrounding the Andapa Basin (see Goodman and Jenkins, 2000).
