Diagnosis: Periclimenes species with well developed rostrum with dorsal and ventral teeth, without supraorbital spines, inferior orbital angle without ventral flange, first pereiopods with simple fingers with entire cutting edges, second pereiopods with chelae well developed, generally moderately unequal, dissimilar, merus without distoventral tooth, ambulatory pereiopods with biunguiculate dactyls, propods spinulate (except P. albatrossae Chace & Bruce, 1993 ), telson with three or more pairs of dorsal spines.
