Vernacular Names: Sierra Tontal Tuco-tuco.

Distribution: Sierra Tontal, San Juan Prov., Argentina.

Discussion: Included in fulvus by Cabrera (1961), but considered provisionally distinct by Contreras et al. (1977) and listed as a distinct species by Galliari et al. (1996).
