Records in this study. Samak Samak, Unnamed pond south of Illizi, Intarsad, Immihro, Ikinyawin (Tassili N’Ajjer).

Previous records in the Algerian Sahara. None

Previous records in the Hauts Plateaux and coastal area. None

Comments. This is a new addition to the large branchiopods checklist of Algeria. Previously, this species has been reported from Mauritania, Chad, and Morocco ( Gauthier 1937, 1939; Thiéry 1986). In Figure 4 View FIGURE 4 , some of its specific morphological characteristics can be seen.
