Crown, face, pronotum and scutellum yellowish. Eyes and basal triangles of mesonotum blackish. Fore wing and hind wing brown.

Male genitalia: Pygofer with about 2 macrosetae at cephalo-ventral angle of lobe ( Fig. 7a View FIGURE 7 ); apex of dorsal appendage bifurcated, upper tooth as long as the lower one ( Fig. 7b View FIGURE 7 ). Style with the apical tooth obviously shorter than the subapical tooth ( Fig. 7d View FIGURE 7 ). Aedeagal shaft curved dorsad, apex expanded in ventral view, with pair of subapical processes long; preatrial process reaching gonopore, apex curved dorsad in lateral view; gonopore near middle ( Figs 7f, g View FIGURE 7 ).

Measurement: Male 3.38–3.50mm.

Material examined: Holotype: ♂ [ NWAFU], CHINA: Sichuan Prov., Kangding , 2560m, 6.xi.1999, coll. I. Dworakowska ; Paratype: 1♂ [ NWAFU], CHINA: Yunnan Prov., Lijiang , 1800m, 13.xi.1999, coll. I. Dworakowska.

Remarks: The new species is similar to A. subapicifixa sp. nov. but differs in having the upper tooth of the pygofer dorsal appendage nearly as long as the lower one; the point of attachment of the subapical process of the aedeagal shaft obviously near the shaft apex; and the aedeagal shaft and preatrial process longer.

Etymology: The specific epithet is derived from the Latin word “ falcatus ”, referring to the falcate apex of the style in lateral view.
