An Atlantic halibut, Pleuronectidae ( Fig. 2R View Figure 2 ), was collected on 4 February 2017 during the survey IBTS on the Research Vessel Thalassa from Ifremer institute. It was collected at Station V0103, 54.1228 / 54.0933 °N, –2.8248 / 2.8579 °W, at 49.9- 46.3 m depth, (North Sea, Netherlands). The fresh specimen, an immature female, measured 1010 mm TL. Its total weight was 12.86 kg. The specimen was preserved for taxidermy with the collection No. MNHN-IC 2019-0105 and tissue sample was recorded under No. BPS-3836. An otolith was preserved by Ifremer institute. Recorded by SPI. The present specimen is a new record for the southern North Sea where the species is currently uncommonly recorded ( Nielsen, 1986).
