Camptocladius View in CoL v. d. Wulp, 1874

Camptocladius stercorarius (De Geer, 1776) View in CoL is the sole species of the genus and is widely distributed in the Holarctic. The larvae are terrestrial, inhabiting cow dung and potted plant soils. The only record in Alaska comes from Watson et al. (1966), who reported C. stercorarius View in CoL from Ogoturuk Valley in Western Alaska. Malloch (1915) mentions an Alaska record of the species without a location.
