Derivation of name: fecundus (Latin) fertile, fruitful, referring to the richnessandstatisticdominanceinsamples,and squama (Latin)scale.
Type species: Fecundosquama basiglobosa gen. et sp. nov.
Age and geographic distribution: Minija Regional Stage and the lower part of the Jūra Regional Stage, Pridoli, Late Silurian; Lithuania.
Diagnosis.—As for Fecundosquama basiglobosa gen. et sp. nov., the only species.
