Description of Algoriphagus namhaensis HN View in CoL 30-2
Cells are gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, nonpigmented, and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, smooth, and reddish orange colored after 3 days of incubation at 25°C on MA. Positive for β -galactosidase activity and esculin hydrolysis. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, and arginine dihydrolase, gelatinase, and urease activities. Does not utilize D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, D-maltose, N -acetyl-glucosamine, capric acid, adipic acid, phenylacetic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and potassium gluconate. Strain HN30-2 (= NIBRBAC000497930) was isolated from a seawater sample, Haenam, Korea.
