Current status. New junior objective synonym of Strichosa Chevrolat, 1843.

Comments. Harpax Gistel, 1848 was proposed as an unnecessary new replacement name for Strichosa Chevrolat, 1843 ( GISTEL 1848b). It is also a junior primary homonym of Harpax Parkinson, 1811 in Mollusca, Harpax Audinet- Serville, 1831 in Orthoptera and Harpax Gistel, 1848 : viii in Mollusca.
