Positive for oxidase, urease and esculin hydrolysis, but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, gelatinase and β -galactosidase. Does not utilize D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid.
