Sorolopha chiangmaiensis Kawabe, 1989 View in CoL
( Figs. 10 View FIGURES 2 – 10 , 18 View FIGURES 11 – 18 , 27 View FIGURES 25 – 27 )
Sorolopha chiangmaiensis Kawabe, 1989 , Microlepid. Thailand 2: 30. TL: Thailand.
Diagnosis: This species differs from all other congeners by the characteristic pecten of the hindwing (Kawabe 1989). It is similar to S. bryana (Felder & Rogenhofer, 1874) in the male genitalia, but it can be distinguished by the longer and slenderer socius and the trapezoidal shape of the ventral prominence of cucullus, with a prominent inwardly curved angle bearing a long tuft of seta.
Specimens examined: 53, 2Ƥ, Bavi, Hanoi province, 19.VII–5.VII. 2010 ( Y.S. Bae & X.V. Le). Host plants: Unknown.
Distribution: Vietnam, Thailand.
Remarks: Razowski (2009) reported that specimens from Sapa, Fansipan Mts, differ externally from specimens from Thailand in having a more uniform grayish green forewing with less distinct markings.
