Etymology. The generic name is derived from the Latin word “ triangulum ” meaning “triangle” referring to the shape of the carapace. The generic name is neutral.
Diagnosis. Triangulum Jiang & Li , gen. nov. can be distinguished from all other theridiid genera in Kachin amber by the characters of the carapace and the male palp. The carapace is triangular in lateral view. The palp has a large tegulum and subtegulum.
