Description of Acinetobacter junii DS View in CoL 041
Cells are Gram-stain-negative, non-flagellated, nonpigmented and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, convex and pale yellow colored after 4 days of incubation on R2 A at 25° C. Positive for nitrate reduction, but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, esculin hydrolysis, gelatin hydrolysis and β -galactosidase in API 20NE. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, capric acid, malic acid and trisodium citrate are utilized as sole carbon sources, but not D-mannose, D-mannitol, N-acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, adipic acid and phenylacetic acid. Strain DS 041 (= NIBRBAC000498630) was isolated from a freshwater sample, Seoul, Korea .
