Shrub perennial.Stem surface pubescent, greyish brown, 55–65 cm; branchlets bright grey. Leaflets digitate, 4-foliolate, 0.5–1.0 × ca. 0.4 cm, surface glabrous, apex and base acute; petiole 0.2–0.8 cm long, persistent on long branchlets, caducous on short branchlets. Stipules spine-like. Inflorescence solitary, number of flowers per inflorescence 1; flowers 1.5–2.1 × ca. 0.6 cm, yellow; pedicel 0.2–0.4 cm long, articulate apically. Calyx 0.5–0.9 cm long, lobes oblanceolate, revolute along margins, surface non–sticky, apex acuminate, inside surface black and glabrous. Standard 1.2–1.5 × ca. 1.9 cm yellowish-brown, glabrous, obovate, apex emarginate, callosities absent. Wing petals 1.2–1.6 × ca. 0.8 cm, glabrous, obovate-oblong, margin entire, claw ca. 0.5 × 0.1 cm long, puberulous. Keel petals ca. 1.1 × 0.5 cm long, glabrous, keel sub-angled, not twisted. Androecium ca. 1.4 cm long, length of the sheath 0.3–0.6 cm, glabrous. Gynoecium 0.5–1.2 cm long, glabrescent to dense hairs; style 1.4–1.5 cm long, slightly twisted, semi-geniculate; stigma glabrous. Pod stalked, 2.0–2.3 × ca. 0.5 cm, glabrous to silky pubescent, cylindrical, 1–8-seeded, stalk ca. 1.3 cm long, pod beak present. Seeds 0.2–0.3 × ca. 0.2 cm, dark brown, smooth.
