DISTRIBUTION. — Global distribution: northern Australia and New Caledonia. Distribution in the New Caledonian area : southwest coast: Passe de Boulari, Passe de Dumbéa, live in 350-713 m, shells in 570-950 m.
REMARKS. — The depth range of 5-1646 m given by Lamprell & Healy (1998) suggests misidentification of some of their lots.
