Type species. Fidicina picea Walker, 1850 ( Mexico) View in CoL .

Remarks. The genus Fidicinoides almost doubled in size to 35 species since its description and is about twice as diverse as the genus Fidicina ( Santos et al. 2010) . Members of the genus were collected in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela ( Metcalf 1963a; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Boulard & Martinelli 1996; Sanborn 2001; 2006a; 2007a; 2007b; 2008a; 2010a; 2011b; 2013).
