Liothrips fagraeae Priesner View in CoL
( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 22–41 )
Liothrips (Liothrips) fagraeae Priesner, 1968: 184 View in CoL .
This species, described from Java in leaf galls of Fagraea obovata View in CoL , was recorded from Sichuan, China taken on Litsea pungens View in CoL by Han (1997b). It is similar to L. adusticornis View in CoL in body shape and leg coloration, but they can be distinguished by the color of wings and antennae, the length of sense cones on antennae ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 22–41 ), and the postocular setae as shown in the key above. Unfortunately, no slides of this species from China are available in Han’s collection, and this record needs further confirmation.
Specimens studied. INDONESIA, Java, Tjibodas , one paratype female and male on Fagraea obovata , 15.vi.1925, M. Bruggeman ( SMF) .
