Material examined. 2 females ( SEMC): “ PERU: Dept. Loreto \ 1.5km N Teniente Lopez \ 2°35.66’S, 76°06.92’W \ 26 July 1993, 210– 240 m \ Richard Leschen #211 \ ex: flight intercept trap ” .
Notes on morphology. Body of moderate size (TL 2.50–2.60 mm), oblong, dark brown, one specimen with yel- lowish apical portion of elytral suture, apical half of elytra densely covered with erect setae, each elytron with two shallow concavities in apical portion. Gonocoxites wide, subtriangular, with subapical gonostyli ( Fig. 27M View FIGURE 27 ), bursal sclerite elongate, anterior portion oblong oval, small subconical outgrowth present in central portion, posterior portion slightly widened, subtriangular.
Remarks. Included in group I due to the following characters: elytra with distinct foveate excitators, wide gonocoxites with subapical gonostyli.
