NOTES: G. Lister (1910a: 73) commented “ This species was found in some abundance on dead wood on Cheyenne Mt. Colorado Springs , Colorado, by Dr. W. C. Sturgis, in the autumn of 1908”. In BM there are 4 boxes of this species from Colorado Springs. We designate BM 3188 as the lectotype as all the data on the box coincide with that published, it is in good condition and it has a revision label by Kowalski naming it as type specimen. Two of the other boxes and a slide with number WCS [turgis] A63, we consider to be syntypes, and another with number WCS A68 could be original material, but it was collected a year later than the publication, unless the date is an error.
