Lectotype (Rendle in Proc. Linn. Soc. London 148: 64. 1936): [icon] " Apocynum Persicariae mitis folio, corniculis lacteis" in Dillenius, Hort. Eltham. 1: 33, t. 29, f. 32. 1732. - Typotype: Herb. Sherard No. 577 ( OXF) .

Current name: Asclepias nivea L. View in CoL View at ENA ( Asclepiadaceae ).

Note: Rendle (in J. Bot. 74: 339. 1936) subsequently indicated Sherard material in OXF as the type but his earlier choice of the Dillenius plate is correct.
