Type (lectotype designated by Hunt 1993: 149):— MEXICO. On pastures, Aguas Calientes, 1839, K. T. Hartweg 235 ( K barcode 000363262!; isolectotype P barcode 00752556!) .

Notes:— I recently ( Hassemer 2018: 39) proposed to designate the specimen K barcode 000363262 (Figure 13 in Hassemer 2018) as lectotype for Commelina scabra . However, I overlooked that Hunt (1993: 149) inadvertently effected the lectotypification of this name with the same specimen, with the sentence: “ Aguascalientes, Hartweg 235, K!, the holotype ”, which should be corrected to a lectotypification (Art. 9.9 of the ICN).
