Distribution in mainland China: New record for mainland China, YN, Xishuangbanna, 23km NW Jinghong vic. Na Ban (NNNK), 22˚09.49’N 100˚39.92’E, 26.iii.2009, L.Z. Meng (3) (NME).
Other distribution. Japan, Taiwan ( Borowski & Węgrzynowicz 2007).
Biology. Large numbers of individuals were bred from a pile of branches and twigs of Cinnamomum sp. (Lauraceae) from southeast Taiwan ( Liu et al. 2008b). Liu et al. (2008b) reported details of the larvae, pupa, prepupa and the gallery system.
