Distribution in mainland China: FJ, GD, GX, GZ, HA, HN, JS, JX, SC, YN, ZJ. ( Chu & Zhang 1997).
Other distribution. Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and introduced into Australia, USA and Europe. ( Borowski & Węgrzynowicz 2007, 2012)
Biology. The species mainly attacked bamboo and bamboo products, but has also been reported infected Chinese herbal medicine ( Liu 2013). In temperate Asia, the species usually has an annual life cycle, passing the winter as adult ( Liu et al. 2008a).
