Distribution in mainland China: New record for mainland China, XZ, E. Tibet: Lhodzong. Poshö, 12,600f, 15.v.1936, R.J.H. Kaulback (1) (LLY).

Other distribution. Northern India (Himalayan mountain area) ( Liu & Beaver 2018). The genus Stephanopachys is distributed in the northern, boreal zone of the Palaearctic and alpine areas of central and southern Europe ( Borowski et al. 2018).

Biology. Beeson & Bhatia (1937) collected adults from galleries in the outer bark of Pinus roxburghii Sarg. (Pinaceae) .
