Distribution in mainland China: JX ( Liu & Geis 2019).
Other distribution. Thailand, Vietnam ( Liu & Geis 2019).
Biolog y. The species is a commensal in the galleries of another bostrichid, Heterobostrychus hamatipennis (Lesne) , which was reported as breeding in the bamboo, Phyllostachys edulis (Carrière) J.Houz. (Poaceae) that was used for the fence of a vegetable garden for more than three years in JX ( Liu & Geis 2019).
