Distribution in mainland China: Unspecified locality in mainland China ( Borowski and Węgrzynowicz 2012).
Other distribution. Palearctic regions ( Borowski and Węgrzynowicz 2012). Introduced to Taiwan, Canada ( Liu & Geis 2019).
Biology. Quercus (Fagaceae) , Robinia (Leguminosae) , Fraxinus (Oleaceae) and Vitis (Vitaceae) have been recorded as the host plants ( Liu & Geis 2019). This species is indexed in the latest Red List of Endangered Species of Germany as ”threatened with extinction“ (category 1) ( Liu & Geis 2019).
