Diagnosis. Head with a small basal notch, temples much shorter than ocular diameter ( Fig. 35 View FIGURES 35 – 47 ); vertex, frons and metarostrum glabrous in males, with whitish pubescent area in females ( Fig. 35 View FIGURES 35 – 47 ). Venter of head grooved ( Fig. 36 View FIGURES 35 – 47 ). Underside of profemora with a strong brush of thick hair ( Fig. 50 View FIGURES 48 – 56 ); upper side of metafemorae strongly grooved ( Figs 8–9 View FIGURES 8 – 11 ). Metasternum laterally not carinate. Elytral interstria 2 present from base to apex; interstria 7 abruptly interrupted at apex, forming a tooth ( Figs 39 View FIGURES 35 – 47 , 48 View FIGURES 48 – 56 ); apex of elytra in shape of "forceps" ( Figs 39–40 View FIGURES 35 – 47 , 48–49 View FIGURES 48 – 56 ), the first interstria not strongly projecting rearward. Sternite III–IV of abdomen longitudinally grooved ( Fig. 41 View FIGURES 35 – 47 ); sternites VII ( Figs 41 View FIGURES 35 – 47 , 53 View FIGURES 48 – 56 ) with basal notch, apical fovea and two lateroapical depressions. Tergite VIII of females ( Figs 47 View FIGURES 35 – 47 , 56 View FIGURES 48 – 56 ) denticulate at the apex.
