TYPE: — THAILAND. Saraburi: Muak Lek, evergreen scrub, ca. 200 m, flowers whitish, 30 August 1924, A.F.G. Kerr 9060 ( lectotype, designated by Green [1996: 768]: K: K000978789 photo!; isolectotypes: BK; BM: BM000997615 photo!; P: P00640645 photo!). ( Fig. 4 )

Etymology: —The specific epithet “ microbotrys ” apparently refers to short inflorescences of this species, a characteristic indicated by Kerr (1938) as a distinctive one from C. ramiflorus .
