MO: Benton County, Warsaw; posted 9 October 2009; B. P. Eldridge. Host: Ummidia sp. ( Halonoproctidae ), adult or subadult female. A series of photographs shows the wasp straddling the paralyzed trapdoor spider, venter to dorsum, as it laid on the ground. The photographer stated “the wasp grappled with the trapdoor spider for several minutes on the backyard lawn, near the patio deck, until they disappeared from sight” (Eldridge 2007; B. P. Eldridge, Warsaw. MO, 2020 pers. comm.).
